LetMeKnow ("we", "our", or "us") is a notification platform that connects publishers — creators, venues, and businesses — with their audiences. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, username, and display name when you create an account.
- Profile data: bio and any profile information you choose to add.
- Interest preferences: the topics and categories you select during onboarding, and the creators you follow.
- Push notification token: a device token generated by Expo's notification service, used solely to deliver notifications you have opted into.
- Activity data: post views, RSVPs, deal redemptions, and event bookings you make within the app.
- Content: posts, updates, events, and deals created by publishers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To deliver push notifications from creators you follow, filtered to the topics you care about.
- To show you a personalised feed based on your declared interests.
- To give publishers analytics about their audience (aggregate counts only — no individual identification).
- To improve the app and fix bugs.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
- We do not build advertising profiles or share data with ad networks.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not send you marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:

5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Children's privacy
LetMeKnow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (managed by Supabase Auth), and row-level security on all database tables. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
8. Your rights
- Access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: you can update your profile information at any time in the app.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from Settings, or email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
- Opt out of notifications: you can revoke notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a notification in the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
